A few words about our shipping options
Shipping and delivery
Most orders are filled within 2-3 business days. Large or custom poured orders
may require longer lead times. All orders will be shipped FedEx 2 day air
service to ensure prompt, safe delivery of your product. It should be noted that
FedEx "2 day service" frequently takes 4-5 business days to arrive from Hawaii.
We strongly advise customers against shipping "slow boat" or parcel post from
Hawaii as damage to the product is more likely.
Please order early during the holiday season to ensure timely delivery of your
order.
Until recently, all of our products were
shipped exclusively via FedEx
2 day air.
FedEx offers insurance, tracking, delivery confirmation and guaranteed on time
delivery. FedEx's 2 day air rates from Hawaii to the mainland were actually less
expensive than USPS priority mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.
Now there is a new option for our customers. USPS shipping is now
available on select smaller products. Due to size restrictions, items larger
than our 4x9 candles are not eligible for the USPS option. There are a few other
limitations as well. While selecting the USPS option might save you a couple of
dollars in shipping charges, it does not offer delivery confirmation, tracking,
insurance or guaranteed on time delivery.
We are happy to offer this new shipping option to our customers but please note,
we strongly recommend that if on time delivery and insurance is important to
you, that you consider spending the couple of extra dollars to use FedEx 2 day
service to ship your order.
Island Candle Company will not be responsible for orders which are lost, delayed
or damaged by the US Postal Service.
Cancellations and returns
All standard product orders may be
cancelled up to 24 hours prior to shipment. All orders returned after
shipment will be subject to a 20% restocking fee and must be in original
condition. Product may not be returned to us after 7 days unless it has
defects which are attributable to our manufacturing process. All product
returns must obtain prior return authorization.
